With a new administration and Congress, 2017 could be a very difficult year for programs that help the poor and hungry. Over 25 congregations in Central Indiana and many more across the country are writing letters to their legislators in May to protect existing programs that address poverty and hunger. Many legislators have indicated letters from their constituents have the most impact in their decision-making.

On Sunday May 21, Dave Miner from Bread for The World will share background on the organization and this specific letter writing initiative. Together during the service, we will write letters to our Congressional representatives asking that current funding for anti-poverty programs be maintained.  To learn even more, click here to watch a short video on the initiative.
