Fellow Gardener Phyllis Bybee is organizing a trip to the Candles Holocaust Museum and Educational Center (“Children of Auschwitz Nazi Deadly Lab Experiments Survivors”) in Terre Haute, IN on June 15. CANDLES educates the public about the Holocaust. The museum was founded by Holocaust survivor Eva Mozes Kor, who with her twin sister, Miriam, was subjected to human experimentation under Dr. Josef Mengele at Auschwitz. Eva will be speaking to the group. The trip will leave from St. Luke’s at 10a by chartered bus. The bus cost is $20.00 per person and admission to the museum is $5.00 per person.
