On June 28, 1969, members of the LGBTQ community rioted following a police raid on the Stonewall Inn, a gay bar in Greenwich Village in Manhattan. This riot and further protesting the following nights were the watershed moment into the modern LGBTQ rights movement and the impetus for what is now commonly known as PRIDE month. On Saturday Gardeners gathered at Indy Pride to celebrate and encourage people from the LGTBQ community to join us on Sunday mornings at Beef and Boards. As founding Pastor Rev. Dr. Linda McCoy shared not long ago that The Garden was founded with the central premise to be a community where all people are welcome and today we continue that strong tradition. Join us Sunday as we reflect on what it means to be part of a faith community that celebrates that God loves Everybody Always.s.
