Follow a New Path…Together

The Outreach Team has designated UMCOR as the Big Give recipient for March. The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is the humanitarian relief and development arm of the United Methodist Church. Originally founded to assist with the needs of displaced and vulnerable populations in the wake of World War II, this ministry has committed to seek out and address the needs of the least, the last, and the lost for over 70 years. From the very beginning, UMCOR has been dedicated to serve as a “voice of conscience among Methodists to act in the relief of human suffering without distinction of race, color, or creed.”
On Sunday, we will look at how the Garden is participating in efforts to bring relief to human suffering through not only the international efforts of UMCOR but by dedicating time and service nationally with Habitat for Humanity and working in local efforts with Soup’s On in downtown Indy. Come and share in the stories of those who have participated and been forever changed in service to others.
