Food for the Soul
Bible Text: John 6:35 | Speaker: Rev. Dr. Carolyn Scanlan-Holmes
Eating together is one of the oldest and most consistent traditions within the Christian and Jewish community. From that first bite of the apple in Genesis to festivals and feast we are a people who eat together. It was during the meal at a wedding celebration Jesus performed his first miracle. And before Jesus completes his earthly ministry he shares in a meal with his Disciples.
On Sunday we will look at the role of the meal in our lives. How food not only feeds our bodies, but how gathering around the table gives us an opportunity to connect with one another feeding our minds and spirits as well.
