The Well Seasoned Life
Bible Text: Leviticus 19:32; Proverbs 16:31; Psalm 91:14-16 | Speaker: Rev. Dr. Carolyn Scanlan-Holmes | Series: Aging Well
C.S. Lewis once said “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” Last week we were introduced to men and women in the Bible and in the modern world that are a living example of this statement, people who have accomplished great things well into their seasoned years. This weekend you will meet some of our local heroes who will soon be featured in the 2018 “Positive Images of Indy” calendar. These folks were chosen for their achievements and commitment to the city of Indianapolis. Gardeners will have the opportunity to meet and get better acquainted with these amazing people who have helped make this city the great place it is today. Our Big Give this month and the proceeds from the calendar will be donated to All Senior Citizens Connect – a non for profit organization designed to keep senior citizens living in their own homes instead of nursing homes or institutional care. Central to who they are is the belief that, with a helping hand, many seniors can live independently, safely, and happily in the comfort of their own home and maintain their current quality of life, along with keeping them active with outside events, activities and fellowship. Join us Sunday as we continue our series The Well Seasoned Life.
