The Wisdom of a Seasoned Life
Bible Text: Job 12:12; Proverbs 18:15 | Speaker: Rev. Dr. Carolyn Scanlan-Holmes | Series: Aging Well
Those who love deeply never grow old; they may die of old age, but they die young. – Benjamin Franklin.
As we age we have been known to complain about aches and pains, energy levels, those things and people that annoy us and just about getting older in general. As we get older we often say to younger people “This getting old isn’t for the weak or young!” With all this complaining we sometimes overlook the special blessings that come with a “seasoned life.” For with life experience can come sage wisdom to be shared with those who come behind. On Sunday we will look at the role of the wise in the bible and see how God worked through people of great age to bring lessons for life.
