The Garden is excited to bring back Phil Gulley to service in March! “Phil Gulley is a delightful combination of Garrison Keillor, Will Rogers and your local minister. While his message is about the radical and inclusive love of God, his style is so warm and witty you find yourself simply charmed into new insights about faith,” says one attendee. Says another, ‘”In a day when the church is all too often judgmental, rigidly doctrinal, and drawing the lines of who is in and who is out, Phil’s message comes as a breath of fresh air. For those who struggle with the contrast between who they encounter Jesus to be in the Bible and the way Christ is portrayed in society, Phil Gulley is for you!”

Philip Gulley is a Quaker pastor and writer and speaker from Danville, Indiana where he lives today with his wife, Joan, and two dogs, Ruby and Jack. Many of his characters and recollections are taken from his boyhood in this small Midwestern town. He hosted the television program Porch Talk with Phil Gulley on the Indiana PBS affiliate WFYI and their flagship show Across Indiana, for which he received two Emmy® Awards. He also writes the popular monthly Home Again column for Indianapolis Monthly and is a regular contributor to The Saturday Evening Post.
