Sun Nov 11 at both Garden services (8:45a and 10a)
Beef and Boards Dinner Theater (9301 N Michigan Rd Indianapolis, IN 46268)
In honor of Veteran’s Day, Carver McGriff will share D-Day memories at The Garden during services. McGriff, a WWII veteran, authored Making Sense of Normandy: A Young Man’s Journey of Faith and War. At age 19, he was thrust into battle and he shares his personal struggle of not only physical survival, but emotional and spiritual survival as well. McGriff returned home and has since taken countless groups back to Normandy. He shows them where he was and retells of his time in World War Two with them. Please join us in honoring the brave men and women who have given their time to serve our great country and to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for us.
Rev. Dr. McGriff is also the 2018 recipient of The Garden’s lifetime achievement award “Planting Seed of Faith for Generations to Come.” The award will be presented by Rev. Dr. Linda McCoy at The Garden’s fundraising event, Christmas in the City. For more info on the event and to purchase tickets or a table, click here.
