Life’s a/no Picnic?

August 18, 2019
The word “picnic” comes from the French.  After the French Revolution royal parks became open to the public for the first time.  So all kinds of people would gather for “pique-nique” a pitch-in meal in the park.  Some of these gatherings would be very simple with just a few people while others would include lots of people with elaborate food and wine.
In February, we are encouraging Gardeners to bring a friend to service to celebrate the gift of friendship and be mindful of what it means to share in a loving community. In a world where we celebrate individuality, we want to pause and focus on our need for one another.

G.I.F.T.: Better Together

It's hard to argue that relationships with other people are an important part of life. Everything we do, every part of our lives, is made better by sharing it with other people. We need friends, don't we?

Community Mix

On Sunday we will be sharing in our first Ice Cream Social with the Village People. It will be an opportunity for Gardeners to come to Broad Ripple United Methodist Church and check out the offices, meet some of our village neighbors, eat ice cream and jam to LIVE music with the Good Earth Band.
