What to Expect

It feeds my soul

—Deb

It is comfortable, casual, and connects with the spirit.

—Terri and Joel

We like the donuts.

And the talk about giving and kindness and stuff.

The Garden has a bit of a different vibe… Aside from being open and inclusive (and that also includes affirming), we find a deeper spirituality by blending the sacred and the secular. One of the many ways we embrace this idea is to use popular music (predominantly secular tunes) played live by our live Good Earth Band.

The Garden meets inside the Union Chapel United Methodist Church — this is a shared space for both congregations. Upon arrival, grab some coffee and doughnuts, and make some connections. Our Hospitality Team is available to help you get acclimated, answer questions, and point you in the right direction (if you can’t find your way around the campus). The service is usually about 45-60 minutes and you can feel free to come and go as needed — after all, you may need a refill on the coffee or an extra doughnut!

We encourage children to attend service with their parents/caretakers to embrace the positive message and experience; therefore, child care is not available. Tables are available for children to color and play while also enjoying service. (And yes, it’s okay if they have to get out of their seat to ask you a question or just to wiggle!

Finally, The Garden does not do a formal offering during service; if you are inspired, watering cans are available at the exit for donations. Please join us on Sunday for a different kind of church experience that we hope you will enjoy!
