Book study with author Jerry Zehr

THIS EVENT OCCURRED IN 2022. THE ZOOM VIDEOS ARE ARCHIVED HERE.

Sundays, Sept 11 - October 16
Following the 9 a.m. service at The Garden

Jerry Zehr, author of The Peacemaker's Path, will lead a Sunday morning book study group from September 11 through October 16. Join us in person or only to explore the commonality of faith traditions and learn how these can help us undo polarization and create a greater sense of community where we honor differences. Zehr brings together wisdom from many of the world’s major religious traditions to help us see we have much more in common than what divides us. In preparation for the book study, Zehr will be guest speaker at The Garden on August 28 and September 4.

The book study group is free of charge. Drop-ins are welcome but registration is encouraged. For those interested, autographed copies of Zehr's book will be available at the church for the reduced price of $15.

Let's Embark on an Adventure
By Betty Brandt March 12, 2025
A poignant blog post by Betty Brandt reflecting on a poem her father, James M. Buck, wrote to her in 1944 while stationed at Ft. McClellan, Alabama, during World War II. Betty shares her father’s love for poetry, his role as a unit scribe in Patton’s Army, and the heartfelt stories of camaraderie and survival among his fellow soldiers. Interweaving themes of love, storytelling, and faith, this post encourages readers to cherish and share their own family stories, creating connections filled with healing and sacred moments.
